AHA & glycolic acid: a quick guide
What do AHAs do?
They exfoliate the surface of the skin, smooth texture, brighten dullness and help other skincare work better.
Who are they for?
Normal, combination and dull skin. Sensitive skin should start with gentler lactic or mandelic acid.
How to use them
At night, two or three times a week to begin with. Do not use them on the same night as retinol. Wear sunscreen the next day.

What is the difference between AHA and BHA?
AHAs (glycolic, lactic) work on the surface for smoothness and glow. BHA (salicylic acid) gets inside pores, so it suits oily and acne-prone skin.
Is tingling normal?
Mild tingling for a moment can be normal. Burning, redness or stinging that lasts is not: rinse it off and use it less often.
